When a building is renovated, the scaffolding stays up for months. If the building sits where many people pass, the scaffolding can carry an advertising banner, and the rent goes to the developer. But the advertising must be planned with the building works, not afterwards.
Why timing is everything
A scaffolding banner can only hang while the scaffolding is up. If you contact us once the scaffolding is already standing, there is less time left to let, and part of the income is lost. The earlier we are involved, the longer the period we can sell.
The timeline
When the renovation is planned. Send the address, the expected scaffolding period and ideally a drawing or a photo. We assess the location and give you an indication.
Before the scaffolding goes up. We sign the agreement, apply for the municipal permit and start finding advertisers. We coordinate with the scaffolding company so the banner can be installed safely.
While the scaffolding is up. The banner goes up, and advertisers can change during the period. We handle print, installation and changes.
When the renovation is finished. We take the banner down before the scaffolding comes down.
What if the works overrun?
Building works change. If the scaffolding stays up longer than planned, the advertising period can often be extended. If it is shorter, we adjust the campaigns. We agree this from the start.
What does a developer earn?
It depends on the location, the traffic, the size of the scaffolding and the period. A building on a busy road or square is worth more than one on a quiet street. The income can help cover part of the renovation.
